The story

The Varsity Shop is the trading name of H H Gifting (Pty) Ltd, a KwaZulu-Natal company founded in 2017 and run by its director, Haroon Haffajee. It began with university-branded merchandise and grew, order by order, into a full-line supplier of corporate gifts, branded clothing, uniforms and event branding for institutions and businesses across the province.

Nine years at UKZN

The company’s anchor relationship says more than any sales pitch: continuous supply to the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2017 to today, across its campuses and colleges, with more than 1,700 orders delivered. Institutional buyers reorder because deliveries arrive when promised and the branding matches the approved artwork.

How we work

Owner-run means decisions happen quickly and personally. Haroon quotes, sources, approves branding proofs and often delivers orders himself, including graduation regalia handovers on campus. Clients work with one accountable person from enquiry to invoice.

Supply network

Established trade accounts with South Africa’s leading promotional-product wholesalers give The Varsity Shop access to national stock, thousands of product lines and dependable lead times.

Branding is Haroon’s own department. Over nine years he has built a network of branding specialists across KwaZulu-Natal, and he places each job with the house whose method and turnaround suit it: embroidery for apparel that has to last, screen print for volume, sublimation for full colour, engraving for awards. Some work now runs through the wholesale channel where that is the better route. Whichever way an order goes, one person chose the branding house, checked the finished work and answers for it.
